In the past weeks, we have seen some leaks indicating that Verizon Wireless might be working on its own tablet, dubbed the Ellipsis 7. Now, the carrier has decided to shed some light on the matter and has officially announced the slate.

A lot of specifications aren't revealed in the official statement, except for the fact the device will feature a 7-inch HD display. Also, the company says it's going to be “easy to carry.” On top of that, the carrier is going to offer some pre-installed apps bundled with the slate like Amazon Kindle, Plants vs. Zombies, and Verizon Messages.

Ellipsis will bring 4G LTE network support and will probably offer access to the Google Play Store and other Google services.

Verizon also added that this was the first device to be announced from the Ellipsis family and went on to say that “we have yet to see details in terms of what other sizes will arrive in the family, however it does appear that other options will be following.”

The tablet will arrive at Verizon on November 7. It will sport a $249.99 / €185 price tag, but customers opting for a 2-year plan with the carrier will get a $100 / €74 discount.
