While doing press for Spike Lee’s “Oldboy” remake, which will be out in theaters later this month, Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed a rumor that has been keeping fans guessing for many weeks now: yes, she will be in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” as Scarlet Witch.

The rumor first broke online in August this year, and it was then half-confirmed by Samuel L. Jackson in an October interview. Below is a video with Elizabeth actually confirming it.

“[Aaron Taylor-Johson and I] get to play husband and wife [in ‘Godzilla’], and we get to play twin brother and sister [in ‘Avengers’],” she says.

Taylor-Johnson plays Quicksilver in the second “Avengers” film, and Elizabeth is thrilled to have the chance to work on two big projects with him. I can’t say I blame her, he’s one of my favorite young actors.

“It’s also fun because even though in ‘Godzilla’ we play husband and wife, we don’t have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I’m so excited we get to work with each other more and to actually work with each other. I think it’s going to be fun,” Olsen adds.

“Age of Ultron” goes in production in early 2014 and will be out in theaters the next year, in 2015.
