The latest video to go viral and create a huge fuss on the Internet appears to be an elementary school play based on Brian De Palma’s classic 1983 film “Scarface,” one of the most violent movies in the history of cinematography, as Cinema Blend puts it. Though sparks are flying high over the parents who would let their kids appear in such a play, TMZ has learned that the video is actually a fake.

That is to say, the scene in question was actually shot (obviously), but it was not part of a school play, as earlier reports suggested. Behind it is none other than a music video director who, in the past, worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Lily Allen and Katy Perry. Though the purpose of the “Scarface play” has not been established, TMZ vouches it was not a school play.

“That hysterical (or horrifying) version of ‘Scarface’ making the rounds – with grade school kids playing all the parts and spewing the f-word... ‘fudge’ – yeah, it’s not an actual school play,” the aforementioned e-zine says. That can’t but come as a relief to all those who took their outrage online, saying they saw nothing in the video, but found it very disturbing, even though cocaine had been replaced by popcorn and all the offensive words with “fudge.”

“Instead, it’s the work of director Marc Klasfeld and Rockhard Films – who did the videos for Lady Gaga’s ‘Pokerface’ and Adam Lambert’s ‘For Your Entertainment.’ It was produced in L.A. within the last few weeks and the audience members were a mix of cast family members, colleagues and friends. As for L’il Tony and his co-stars, they were selected through a casting agent known for finding child actor look-alikes for adult stars. The fake scar was a nice touch,” TMZ goes on to say.

Below is the video in question that got so many viewers upset. It could very well be meant to promote the young stars in it, or Rockhard Films for that matter, though this is just speculation at this point. Enjoy.
