Total Monkery is a mobile game developer that has just released a new Windows Phone game, ElemenTales, as part of a program called Greenshoots.

The Greenshoots program is jointly developed by Creative England and Microsoft to help support early stage startup game studios with bringing new titles to the Windows platform.

The first episode of ElemenTales has been released in Windows Phone Store, but developers promise the expanded version will be available on Xbox One Arcade very soon.

ElemenTales is a puzzle game that challenges players explore mysterious environments as they control fire, water, earth and air to overcome the obstacles ahead.

A free trial is available too

The game allows players to control all four elements as they lead four brothers across 24 island puzzle to find the source of their curse.

Solve all 24 levels, some allowing multiple solutions to reach the next one, and find hidden treasure in each level. But beware that some treasures are guarded by their own puzzles. Here is a short description of the game:

“Take your wits with you across a serene and mysterious environment as you control fire, water, earth and air to conquer the obstacles ahead, and even combine the brother’s powers to solve otherwise-impossible challenges. Hidden treasure has also washed ashore for the brothers to find, so search far and wide… you'll need it to pay the ferryman.”

Although the game costs money, developers also offer players the chance to try it out before spending money to purchase it. It's unclear how long the free trial is though.

Anyway, you can now download ElemenTales for Windows Phone for $2.99 via Windows Phone Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.

Keep in mind that this is only the first chapter of ElemenTales, so don't expect to find out how the story ends.
