Video game publisher Electronic Arts has announced that it is launching a Battlefield 3 “Says Thanks” Sweepstakes for all loyal fans of the first person shooter, with the ultimate prize being a trip to the Swedish headquarters of the developer DICE.

The sweepstakes begins on Friday, November 11 at 12:01 AM GMT and runs until Sunday, November 13 at 11:59 PM GMT.

All those who will play Battlefield 3 during this period will be automatically entered into the draw and might get a round trip visit to Stockholm, Sweden, where they will be able to go with three of their closest friends and squadmates in order to visit the places where the game was developed and meet some of the team behind the experience.

The second prize is 5,000 dollars in cash (3,624 Euro) while the third is made up of a brand new gaming system with a full catalog of Battlefield games included.

The complete list of rules for the Say Thanks sweepstakes can be found on the official Battlefield site.

The developers are also working on new content for the video game and are hyping up the launch of the Back to Karkland expansion pack, which includes four fan favorite maps that were remastered, new Achievements, more weapons and new vehicles to play around with.

DICE is also constantly adding small fixes and improvements to Battlefield 3, including better options for Quickmatch and for squad uses, reduces lag and less rubber banding and more servers.

Battlefield 3 has been a success so far for Electronic Arts, with 10 million copies shipped during the first week on all platform and 5 of them already moved to players.

This week Activision and Infinity Ward launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the biggest rival for the Electronic Arts franchise, which is widely expected to be the biggest selling game of the year.
