While IT companies might like to make things on their own, collaborations with other outfits often prove lucrative, and it seems that Enermax and Ecomaster just leveraged their own pooled resources.

Power supplies are one PC components which, like the central processors, can't really lack from any PC, mobile or otherwise.

Also, being the part that supplies the energy to all the other components, their energy efficiency, ultimately, has a great, if not the greatest bearing on the energy efficiency of the PC as a whole.

To test the level of power efficiency, the 80Plus rating system was set in place, and it looks like the newest Ecomaster-Enermax models have a spot in the ranking.

More specifically, the two newcomers, known as the B series of LEPA PSUs, are 88% efficient and, thus, deserving of the 80Plus Bronze certification.

That said, the two models are actually quite powerful, with output of 750W and 850W, respectively, meaning that they can handle today's high-end CPUs, graphics cards and memory with ease.

They might not be as top-tier as 80Plus Gold or Platinum PSUs but, then again, they don't cost a massive amount of money either.

Speaking of costs, it is reported that the B750 is already selling through online stores, for the price opf 99 Euro, while the B850 goes for the sum of 129 Euro.

As for the rest of the feature set, Ecomaster and Enermax worked to integrated two 12V rails on the former and four on the latter.

Also, both models have active PFC, plus 135mm fans of the PWM variety, as well as short-circuit, over-voltage and over-current protection.

Prospective purchasers will get a two-year warranty for whichever of the two LEPA B series units they might decide to acquire. What remains is to see how they face off against, among others, the likes of A-Data's BN series.
