EVGA is one of NVIDIA's biggest channel partners, offering loyal fans a number of impressive products based on the latest chips coming from the green company. Just recently, EVGA has rolled out the latest addition to its FTW (For The Win) series of motherboards, based on NVIDIA's nForce 790i SLI chipset.

The new mobo has been designed to accommodate the latest Intel processors, which, coupled together with the board's DDR3 and SLI support, will present users with the latest in computing and graphics performance. Based on the latest NVIDIA chipset, the nForce 790i SLI, which was launched in early 2008, the new EVGA Intel-ready platform is ready to take on some of the most demanding desktop computer applications, including the latest PC games.

Built on black ATX PCB, the new mobo features an innovative chipset fan design that is meant to direct airflow away from the graphics card. The backpanel boasts an impressive number of 6 USB ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet, HD Audio, 2 PS2 ports for keyboard and mouse, one serial port and FireWire 1394 port. Aside from the design specifications, the new mobo provides support for a top-notch high-quality desktop computer system.

The four memory DIMMs are ready to offer the board's user Dual-Channel DDR3 memory up to 8GB. There are three PCIe x16 graphics slots that will be essential for a triple SLI setup, which, in turn, will allow computer enthusiasts to upgrade their system's graphics power by connecting three of the latest GeForce graphics cards. The board provides up to 9 SATA 300MB/s with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and JBOD, one UltraDMA 133, and a floppy disk drive connector.

Regarding pricing and availability, the new mobo is now available, being listed with a price tag of US$299.99 on EVGA's official website. There is also a special edition EVGA Precision skin promotion, which requires users to register their new motherboard.
