EVGA, one of NVIDIA's largest add-in board partners, appears to have grown really fond of Intel's latest desktop platform, the much-hyped, Lynnfield-ready P55, as the company recently announced its latest motherboards based on the said platform. Much like some of the world's leading motherboard makers, like ASUS and Gigabyte, EVGA has no less than seven new models, boasting support for Intel's latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors, as well as for the new generation of GeForce and Radeon graphics cards.

Most of these boards surfaced on the Internet, prior to the official launch from Intel, but the graphics card and motherboard maker had to wait until Chipzilla gave the official word. The lineup includes the P55 Classfied 200, P55 FTW 200, P55 FTW, P55 SLI, P55 LE, P55 Micro and P55 Micro LE, providing users with a wide range of choices for building their next, Intel-based desktop computer system. The high-end P55 Classified 200 and P55 FTW 200 combine the Intel P55 chipset with an NVIDIA NF200 chip, enabling computer enthusiasts to take advantage of a Lynnfield and SLI-enabled system.

All models come with support for Intel's current Core i5 750, Core i7 860 and Core i7 870 processors, as well as all of the other LGA1156-compatible CPUs Intel is bound to announce. There's also support for dual-channel DDR3 memory kits, at least two PCI-Express x16 slots ( P55 Classified 200 goes all out with six of these slots ), no less than six SATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet LAN and a couple of overclocking tools that will enable users to boost the performance of their systems.

As far as pricing and availability go, be sure to check out the company's website, where most of these models have already been listed. For example, the high-end P55 Classified 200 is listed at US$350, while the lower-end P55 LE is available for US$170.
