Based on the company's earlier released nForce 790i SLI FTW motherboard, the new NVIDIA-based desktop platform comes to deliver an impressive overclocking potential, as well as a number of features to enable a real high-performance desktop gaming rig.
EVGA's new nForce 790i SLI FTW Digital PWM is equipped with NVIDIA's latest Intel-ready chipset, the famous nForce 790i SLI. This allows the board to support some of the latest LGA775 processors and to deliver a significant level of computing performance. Aside from Intel's latest Core 2 Duo processors, the EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW Digital PWM can also support up to a maximum of 8GB of DDR3 memory on the four dual-channel DDR3 memory DIMMs. In addition, for a maximum graphics performance, the board is equipped with three PCI-Express x16 graphics slots, which support triple-SLI configurations.
The board also features two PCI-Express x1 and two regular PCI slots, and nine SATA II ports with support for RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 0+1, RAID 5 and JBOD. In addition, users will also get 7.1 Channel Azalia audio, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and ten USB 2.0 ports, six of which are available in the backpanel.
