Batman is getting ready to return to our computer screens once more with its new adventures in Arkham City, so in order to celebrate this moment EVGA will release a special edition GTX 580 graphics card that has been themed to closely resemble the artwork of Rocksteady Studios' latest title.

Despite the new sticker, at its heart, EVGA's creation is the same GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked the company launched a while back with no extra features.

Both cards use the same cooling solution that reminds us a lot of Nvidia's reference design, but EVGA has added a few tweaks to make it perform even better in most day-to-day usage scenarios.

The improved cooling system has allowed EVGA to slightly raise the operating frequencies of the graphics card as its GPU is now run at 797MHz, while the 1.5GB of video buffer operates at 1012MHz (4050MHz effective).

In comparison, the stock version of the GTX 580 works at 772MHz core and 1002MHz (4008MHz data rate), but EVGA's solution should feature even higher overclocking headroom.

The EVGA GTX 570 Superclocked Batman Arkham City Edition is already available for purchase from Newegg where it retails for $529.99 (about 373 Euros). EVGA hasn't said if the card is bundled together with a free download voucher for Batman: Arkham City.

The PC version of Rocksteady Studios' latest title is scheduled to launch on November 15 in North America and on November 18 in Europe.

The GTX 580 is based on Nvidia's GF110 GPU that packs 512 stream processors, 64 texture units, 48 and ROP units.

The GPU also features a 384-bit memory interface that, as its the case with this latest EVGA creation, is usually linked to a 1.5GB GDDR5 frame buffer.
