EVGA ups the ante with two new factory overclocked graphics cards

Immediately after Nvidia made official its latest performance-class GPU from the GeForce series, EVGA has announced the introduction of two new graphics cards based on the GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores, including one Classified model.

Our readers should be familiar with both of these solutions as we have posted some pictures of these cards even before they were made official by EVGA, but now we have the confirmation of their specs as well as pricing.

Starting with the more outrageous of the two models, the Classified, this is based on a custom designed PCB which improves upon the specs of other GTX 560 TI 448 Cores graphics cards out there by including an upgraded 6-phase PWM and 8+6pin power inputs.

Cooling has also been upgraded to feature a dual-fan design paired with an EVGA high-flow bracket.

As far as the FTW model that EVGA announced together with the Classified, this takes cooling down a notch, but it still comes with the same 797MHz GPU and 975MHz (2900MHz data rate) memory as its older brother.

Both of these frequencies are higher than those recommended by Nvidia for the GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores which has its stock clocks set at 732MHz for the GPU and 950MHz (2800MHz effective) for the VRAM.

The cards are available right now for purchase from EVGA’s website as well as from other online and brick and mortar retailers and the FTW model is listed at $289 (217 EUR) while the Classified adds another $10 (7.5 EUR) to this price.

Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores is based on the same GF110 core as the GTX 570 and GTX 580, but it comes with two of the 16 streaming modules included in this GPU disabled, for a total of 448 CUDA cores, hence its name.

The rest of the graphics core specs include 56 texture units, 40 ROP units and a 320-bit memory bus connected to 1.25GB of GDDR5 video buffer.
