All products bought after July 1, 2011 are subject to the new policy

EVGA captured enough attention with all its new graphics cards and, now, it is doing it again by modifying the terms of its warranties.

Some would expect this all to be some way for the company to reduce its responsibilities in the wake of troublesome economics.

This doesn't appear to be the case though. In fact, it looks like its customers are the ones who will have it easier form now on.

Not only is the new warranty transferable (still applies in case a user gives a bought product to somebody else), but it is also going to cover all the products sold after the 1st of July 2011, not just new ones.

The new minimum duration is 3 years, and original owners can register and pay an extra fee for the plan to be extended to 5-10.

Furthermore, basic cross shipping is done for free and products are covered regardless of where owners live and from any warranty center. Go here to learn more about the plan.
