It appears that Futuremark's Hall of Fame web page has recently suffered some minor modifications, as several enthusiastic PC users around the world have embraced the latest hardware technologies available on the market and benchmarked their high-end platforms using the famous 3DMark Vantage benchmark application. As it was to be expected, Intel's Core i7 is powering most of the systems in Futuremark's rankings, but another champion can certainly be considered to be EVGA's X58 Triple SLI platform, which holds the highest score in both Performance and High Preset benchmark settings.

EVGA is one of the favorite hardware manufacturers among those technology enthusiasts that will all long to have the highest-performance desktop system on the market. One of the reasons for EVGA's success is that its hardware components are specifically designed for the enthusiast market, providing users with a high level of performance. Ranging from motherboards to graphics cards, EVGA is really all about extreme performance.

The platform that achieved the highest score in both preset and high 3DMark Vantage configurations was equipped with an Intel Core i7 Extreme 965 processor, clocked at 4045 MHz, three EVGA GTX 280 graphics cards, connected in a triple-SLI configuration, and a decent 2GB of memory.

When the 3DMark Vantage was set at high level, the platform manged to score a total of H29715 3DMarks, while for Performance settings, the score went all the way up to P36598 3DMarks. That alone should give you a glimpse of the sheer power of the afore-mentioned platform.

The EVGA X58 SLI motherboard is designed on the recently released X58 chipset from Intel, which can manage Intel's fast Core i7 processors, triple-channel DDR3 memory, and both SLI and CrossFireX multi-GPU configurations. Moreover, the motherboard comes with EVGA's own cooling solutions that will enable the board to run cool and provide support for high overclocking settings.
