Looks pretty much like CPU-Z

The official launch of the new Core i7 processors alongside the next-generation X58 desktop platform is also going to mark a first for a company that, until now, has focused on releasing motherboards based on NVIDIA's own chipsets. More specifically, users will be able to get the support they need for a Core i7 configuration, through some of EVGA's upcoming motherboards, those which are to be built on Intel's X58 chipset.

However, in addition to creating a high-end mobo, the company is also expected to provide its own design features for the new offering, as well as an interesting software bundle. One of the more anticipated software utilities is said to enable users to easily overclock their Core i7 processors, using the new EVGA E-LEET Tuning Utility.

Truth be told, we are still some time ahead of the launch of EVGA's new tuning utility. With all that, the fellows over at VR-Zone have managed to get their hands on a copy of the new E-LEET application. The tool basically offers a means by which users can tune their CPU's multiplier, as well as tweak the QPI (QuickPath Interconnect) and PCIE frequency. There's also a mention of a voltage tweaking option that will be included in the new E-LEET tuning utility.

What is rather interesting in the new E-LEET app from EVGA is the overall design, which will most certainly remind all those computer enthusiasts out there of CPUID's CPU-Z monitoring utility. Nevertheless, unlike CPU-Z, the E-LEET Tune will allow its users to easily overclock their high-performance Core i7 processors, for an even more significant performance boost.

No word on whether the application will become available as a separate option for non-EVGA users, or if the company plans to put a price on the tuning utility, especially in the context in which one of CPU-Z's best features is that it can be downloaded by anyone free of charge.
