EOJT, a OEM provider of proprietary electronic counter measure (ECM) gear, just launched its next generation ECM gear that is said to be able to defeat IEDs.

EOJT's CEO Jeff Bell put it this way: "Our next generation box includes the defeat mechanisms that have been communicated to us by our user group, which include both commercial and non-commercial clients that span the globe. The new piece of gear and/or its components include vehicle borne, briefcase, UGV, ROV, UAV and MANPAC options".

EOJT is already addressing additional threats and more complicated spectrum management issues for its next release that is scheduled for Q1 2007 or sooner.

"We had to draw a line on the development process and get the next generation gear completed for deployment by a certain date - we do not have the silver bullet and never expect to - TTPs within our user group change to frequently. What we have done is design a box that is flexible enough for additional components to be added and not change the packaging to a great degree. So component integration will be the biggest challenge. Having to design several new components and then redesign our entire package would almost double our time to market. As a small business we do not have that luxury," commented Bell.

EOJT is also negotiating several distribution agreements to expand their international presence in both the commercial and non-commercial markets. "We have been pleasantly surprised by the reception we have had with our technology thus far - hopefully that will continue to develop into revenue opportunities as we move forward."
