Air Traffic, Gisil and The Aliens are among the EMI acts that will be introduces to mobile phone users through ShoZu's Share-It platform. EMI also plans to provide the three acts with ShoZu-enabled mobile phones, allowing them to upload pics and videos on their website or others like Flickr and Youtube. This initiative is meant to effectively create an artist-branded content feed and keep fans in touch with their favorite bands. Among other things, the label will also be using ShoZu's Zucast service to deliver various content created by the bands themselves directly to the fans' mobiles during the festival season this summer.

Eric Winbolt, digital media manager of EMI Records, said: "We are continuously looking at new ways to empower our artists to deliver interesting and insightful content to their fans. Shozu provides the perfect platform with a crucial combination of simple and rapid mobile connectivity that allows fans to get up close and personal with their favourite performers."

Jennifer Grenz, Shozu's senior director of marketing, added: "Music industry innovators like EMI are aware of how crucial the mobile channel is in promoting artists. EMI is among the first to establish an aggressive mobile strategy built around Shozu's service, and their decision clearly reflects the simplicity, versatility and reach of our technology to a rapidly growing ecosystem of web communities."

A little while ago, Shozu has also entered a partnership with Atlantic Records and through the agreement signed by the two companies, several brands were to be equipped with Shozu-enabled camera phones for sharing their photos and video clips with fans. Moreover, last year, Warner Music used Share It to video launch 'The Veronica's' debut album. Increasing in popularity among such companies, Shozu currently supports 155 mobile phones.
