Fans back home never got the chance to see Miley having fun on stage, claims report

Miley Cyrus won Best Video for “Wrecking Ball” at the MTV European Music Awards 2013 and, during her brief acceptance speech, she made a point of how rad she was by taking a joint from her Chanel bag and lighting it up on stage.

Fans back home in the US never got to see this moment because, according to French e-zine Ozap, it was cut in editing, much like her line about Molly in “We Can’t Stop” is always censored in live performances.

The EMAs took place in Amsterdam this year where, as you probably know, smoking marijuana in public spaces is legal. Miley was just having fun by doing what everyone else was probably doing, so it’s not like she was breaking any laws.

However, there’s one thing called the Internet, so MTV’s efforts might have been in vain in the end. Above is a video of Miley’s one-of-a-kind acceptance “speech,” the bit that was reportedly cut for US audiences.

Miley also performed at the awards gala and, as expected, she continued to show off / cause a stir, but only some mild twerking was involved this time.
