Combined with the armor on the thing, it will look quite imposing

Water Blocks are capable of making a piece of hardware look solid and tough even at the worst of times, but the newest release from EK will have a lot of help from the packaging of the product it's aimed at.

The Ljubljana-based premium water cooling gear manufacturer WK has launched the EK-FB KIT ASUS M6F.

This water block is meant to take the edge off the ASUS Maximus VI Formula, one of ASUS' most powerful gaming platforms to date.

In fact, the motherboard is such a high-end part that its maker went to great lengths to clothe it in armor.

Barely any of the surfaces is uncovered, and even that's only because there are some ports and pin headers whose access mustn't be obstructed.

The EK-FB KIT ASUS M6F water block snugly fits into the scenery, cooling the bridge (PCH) as well as power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module.

In fact, it seems to fit so well that it may as well have been there all along. Not surprising, seeing as how EK deliberately designed it that way.

Not that it was particularly difficult, seeing as how all that armor on the motherboard is just as black as the water block is.

That said, the EK-FB KIT ASUS M6F is a high flow block kit (can be used in water cooling systems with weak pumps) and is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper.

Well, the base is. The top is made of OM Acetal or acrylic glass material (depending on the variant). So, we suppose these are the options: EK-FB KIT ASUS M6F – Nickel, and EK-FB KIT ASUS M6F – Acetal+Nickel.

Both of them carry a price tag of €89.95 / $89.95 and ship with the obligatory mounting mechanism and thermal pads. You'll find them on the EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network.
