14 DAY TRIAL // Back in February, EK Waterblocks, a Ljubljana-based premium water cooling equipment manufacturer, released the EK-FC Titan waterblock. Now, the same company has unveiled a couple of other waterblocks for the very same video controller.
One of them is called EK-FC Titan XXL Edition incl. Backplate and is an extended variant of the original. The other bears the name of EK-FC Titan – Nickel (Original CSQ).
EK-FC Titan XXL Edition incl. Backplate covers the whole GeForce GTX Titan graphics card PCB (printed circuit board), meaning that it comes into direct contact with not just the GPU (graphics processing unit), but the memory chips and VRM as well (voltage regulation module).
Since it is bundled with its own FC Bakcplate, the memory chips on the backside of the PCB get cooled as well.
EK-FC Titan XXL Edition incl. Backplate has a price of 139.95 Euro, or $139.95-180.13. Sales should start by the end of the week.
The other cooler, EK-FC Titan – Nickel (Original CSQ) looks similar to the CSQ released in June 2012 and, thus, is compatible with the EK-FC Bridge & Link CSQ system multiple cards interconnect.
It is compatible with the EK-FC Titan Backplate, but cannot be interconnected to other EK-FC Titan (using EK-FC Bridge & Link CSQ or EK-FC Terminal system).
For those who haven't guessed, the EK-FC Titan – Nickel (Original CSQ) is made for multi-GPU configurations. A single water cooling system can manage one, two or three of these blocks at once.
The MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price) is of 99.95 Euro / $99.95-128.65 Euro. It should already be up for sale online.
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX Titan is the strongest single-GPU video card on the market at present time, with a mighty GK110 GPU at 837 MHz base clock speed and 876 MHz GPU Boost. 2,688 CUDA cores are inside the processor.
6 GB of GDDR5 back the chip up, over an interface of 384 bits. Everything works on 250W and display connections are made through two dual-link DVI ports, one HDMI and one DisplayPort.
