The newcomer makes direct contact with the GPU, RAM and VRM, as usual

The ASUS-engineered Direct CU II series AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics card already has a custom cooler, but it's not a water cooler, so EK pounced on it anyway.

The company has launched the EK-FC R9-280X DCII, which will directly cool the essential parts of the video board: GPU, RAM, as well as VRM (voltage regulation module).

And since they are single-slot coolers, they allow video cards to fit in PCI Express slots side-by-side, making it possible to install multi-card configurations on smaller motherboards, and in smaller cases than ATX/E-ATX/XL-ATX.

The base of the water block is made of electrolytic copper (bare or nickel-plated) while the top is of quality cast acrylic material or POM Acetal. Shipments should begin on February 21, for €102.95 / $102.95 (simple Nickel) or €104.95 (Acetal+Nickel and Original CSQ Nickel).
