The full-cover cooler will cool the GPU, VRM and RAM

We've already seen a few waterblocks from EK, so the idea that another one would debut before Christmas isn't that big a stretch, assuming shipments really do start in time for that particular holiday.

This one though is a big one, figuratively speaking, as it is meant for one of the two best video boards of the age: AMD's Radeon HD 7990.

As gamers know, it is a dual-GPU video board whose rival is NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 690.

EK's EK-FC7990 waterblock, as it is called, will cool not just the two graphics processing units, but the memory chips and VRM as well (voltage regulation module). It is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper.

Sales will begin either this month or only in January 2013. The box should hold the EK-FC7990 itself, and EK-FC Link, a 2-slot I/O bracket, a mounting mechanism with screw-in brass standoffs, and thermal pads.
