ECS was one of the first AMD partners to officially announce their range of FM1 motherboards for the upcoming Llano APUs and today we get to take a closer look at one of the company's most advanced solutions built on the Hudson D3 chipset, the A75F-A Black Series.

Just as all the other ECS Black Series products, the motherboard features the usual black and gray color scheme and sports quite a nice layout, with two PCI Express x16 ports.

However, only one of these can work at x16 speeds as the built-in Llano PCI-E controller doesn't allow for the 16 lanes to be split between slots, so the dark gray slot is limited at operating in an x4 mode.

Outside of these two expansion slots, ECS has also included a pair of PCI Express x1 slots as well as three 32-bit legacy PCI sockets, which are placed right above the board's five SATA 6Gbps port.

These are all driven by the Hudson D3 chipset, and the sixth available port has been routed to the back of the A75F-A as an eSATA connector.

This is accompanied by a PS/2 port, four USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF out, and by a pair of USB 3.0 ports (two more are available via an on-board header).

Since all of AMD's Llano processors feature an integrated graphics core, the A75F-A motherboard also packs HDMI, DVI and D-sub video outputs.

Although the A75F-A comes as a Black Series model, ECS hasn't included so many overclocking features on the board, outside of a Clear CMOS button placed on the rear I/O panel.

CPU power is provided by a four-phase power delivery system, which ECS claims that is can support Llano processors with a maximum TDP of 100W.

No details regarding pricing have been disclosed until now, but the desktop Llano platform is expected to launch later this month. (via VR-Zone)
