Electronic Arts may be seen as an evil empire, milking gamers of their money, firing people in the thousands and shutting down our favorite studios, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any brilliant people working at the top of the company. After all, evil geniuses have to start somewhere. The creator of the Madden series, Richard Hilleman, might be one of such said geniuses that work at EA and it remains to be seen just how evil he really is. While he spends his days as the Chief Creative Director for the company, when the sun sets, he spends his time developing supercars.

In close collaboration with Capstone Turbine Corporation, Hilleman designed the CMT-380, a "high performance hybrid electric supercar" powered by a microurbine and a special battery setup. The end result is pretty much the Batmobile, in its pre-Dark Knight days. Well versed in things like marketing and advertising from all his years at EA, Hilleman wasn't shy at all when talking about his little creations.

"Not only does this car look great and is fun to drive," he said, "but its low-maintenance, high-efficiency turbine engine makes it a stress-free, no compromise hybrid. The CMT-380 is perfect for people who want it all. These kinds of customers value a high level of driving performance but also are concerned about social issues such as reducing greenhouse emissions and limiting our country's dependence on foreign oil."

So, it looks like we have our initial doubt all cleared up. Hilleman is indeed one of those evil geniuses, and a true mastermind at that, since his creation is so friendly. After all, the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist. The CMT-380 will be unveiled for the public for the first time this week, at the LA Auto Show, and it looks like we have our first sure candidate for the next Need for Speed line-up.
