The awards show is set to deliver a ton of new stuff

The COO of Electronic Arts, Peter Moore, will be present this weekend at The Game Awards in order to make a special announcement.

The news comes from the man himself, who tweeted the mysterious but exciting bit of information. The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley has chimed in to add that nobody will be able to guess what's it about, which might mean that EA is preparing to announce something completely new.

In any case, the tease has led to a lot of speculation from fans, who think that they can crack it, in spite of Keighley's statement.

Geoff Keighley, the event's producer, teases us that we'd do well to pay attention to what happens there, as there will be no less than a dozen world gaming premieres at the show.

The announcement made the world boil for a bit, mainly because with every possible occasion, everyone is hoping to hear something about Fallout 4. Unfortunately, Bethesda was quick to shut down rumors, stating that it wouldn't be revealing anything at this year's awards show.

The rumors were sparked by the fact that The Video Game Awards, the former show, was where The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was announced, and by the fact that everyone wants the company to stop whatever it is that it's doing and just make another brilliant post-apocalyptic shooter / role-playing game already.

Microsoft has also joined the ranks of those who don't have any plans for The Game Awards, but that's okay, because we already have a lot of stuff to get excited about.

Confirmed for The Game Awards

So far, Sony has promised to have updates on Bloodborne, the brutal hack and slash title from Dark Souls 2 developer From Software, and on The Order: 1886, Ready at Dawn's cinematic supernatural steampunk action adventure taking place in an alternate Victorian London.

CD Projekt RED will also be present there, to unveil more footage from the upcoming role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

In addition to this, Hello Games' procedurally generated universe exploration game No Man's Sky will also make an appearance, alongside some other, brand new projects.

Hideo Kojima will step on the stage to offer fans the first look at Metal Gear Online, and we'll also get to see the revival of the classic adventure series, King's Quest, coming from Sierra Games and The Odd Gentlemen.

The Game Awards will kick off Friday, on December 5. The event takes place in Las Vegas and will be broadcast through a series of online partners, for all the world to see.
