Red Alert 3 is one of the most expected strategy titles this holiday season largely because it has its own unique, tongue-in-cheek approach to strategy and offers a distinct and very funny story through which the players can progress.

Electronic Arts, the developer and publisher of Red Alert 3, has really backed up the promotion for this title and considered no expense too big for this much anticipated game. It has already been launched for the PC and with an Xbox 360 version scheduled to hit store shelves on November 11 in the United States and three days later for Europe, people began to wonder about the plans of the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

In regards to those rumors and to reassure PS3 users that the game would be coming to their console, David Silverman, one of the producers of Red Alert 3, talked about this version with VideoGamer. He said that a lot of PS3 features would definitely be used by the game, considering that the native 1080p HD resolution and the extra space which the Blu-ray drive offers is going to enhance the Red Alert experience even more.

"When we announced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 we announced there was a PS3 version, then we decided to go on the record and say that we've suspended it to make sure that RA3 was able to come out to the level of quality that it must adhere to be called a C&C game. We've hit that mark, we've shipped the game. So there's definitely people working on a PS3 version and we'll be talking more about that later. If you're a PS3 owner you can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you'll be very pleased. We're looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space.”

That's definitely reassuring for the PS3 users who thought they wouldn't get their hands on the eagerly anticipated strategy title. Let's just hope that EA will explore all the possibilities offered by Sony's console and that users will get an excellent experience by playing this game.
