EA Sports has just unveiled the Career and Online modes for the upcoming mixed martial arts video game EA Sports UFC, releasing a nifty video highlighting the Ultimate Fighter Career Mode.

The rising stars in the Ultimate Fighting Championship have proved their worth on the Ultimate Fighter canvas, and, for the first time in a UFC video game, players will be able to earn their own coveted contracts in the famous gym.

Along the way to greatness, UFC champions, contenders and personalities, even UFC boss Dana White will show up to guide you in your potentially legendary career, but it's entirely up to you to train hard and hone your skills, and then adapt your strategy and play smart in order to go toe-to-toe with the UFC's finest fighters.

Winning the Ultimate Fighter is the golden ticket to a debut in the UFC and the beginning of a potentially long and fruitful career, but take heed: five round wars and an excessive intake of punishment will put a dent in your career longevity.

Spectacular knockouts and decisive, one-sided victories will raise popularity with fans and open up many sponsorship opportunities, as well as new gear and visits from established fighting legends.

In addition to the Ultimate Fighter Career Mode, EA Sports UFC will also feature new online modes for players to take part in.

The Online Championships will offer the chance for players to prove how good they really are, following the format of the most played online experience at EA Sports. It will also allow them to take on the rest of the world and win matches, climbing the ranks of the best players in the game, and challenge the champions in belt fights in the toughest divisions.

Online Rivalries offer the opportunity to create a 1-on-1 rivalry with a friend in order to prove once and for all who is number one, with each rivalry tracking head-to-head stats in order to provide an in-depth analysis of fighting prowess, with multiple rivalries being supported at the same time.

FighterNet will be the hub that tracks all online competition, where you can compare your stats against friends and rivals alike, share highlights from your matches, and maybe even get featured in the Highlights of the Night, as well as where you can access some of the latest UFC content via the UFC Spotlight function.

EA Sports UFC is built on the proprietary Ignite technology, planned specifically for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next-gen platforms, capturing the essence of the emotion and athleticism in the mixed martial arts scene.

The game is scheduled to launch on June 17, 2014.
