In preparation for the holiday season, EA Mobile - Electronic Arts' mobile division, has launched three new casual games for mobile phones. The titles, which involve different gameplay styles, consist of Pictionary, The Sims DJ, and ESPN Darts.

Pictionary, inspired by one of the best selling board games of all times, allows players to compose a rough sketch or a work of art and have their friends guess it. The game can be played in single player mode against the phone in a race against time, with another player using the same handset, or with up to four friends in multiplayer mode. Pictionary manages to preserve the simple interface that makes it easy for all levels of players to sketch with a pencil, paint bucket, shapes and stamps using the phone's D pad.

The Sims DJ offers music fans the chance to create their own songs in a variety of popular genres, including Rock, Pop, Hip Hop and Dance. To achieve this, players can mix drum beats, bass lines and effects tracks from an extensive collection of music samples built into the game. Gamers can also earn Simoleons - The Sims version of currency, to spend on new music samples and equipment, such as speakers, turntables, headphones, and shades. And the best part is that players can create ringtones from the songs produced with The Sims DJ and save them to their phone.

ESPN Darts allows gamers to play the most popular dart games such as X01 (301, 501 or 901), or choose pub classics such as Cricket and Around the Clock. There is also an engaging Tournament Mode, which comes complete with a full storyline. Automatic on-screen scoring and high-energy sound effects, including crowd cheers and the sound of darts hitting the board, add to the feeling of a realistic ESPN TV competition. ESPN Darts also allows players to choose from three difficulty settings to suit all skill levels.

The titles are currently available on major carriers in North America and Europe.
