EA recently announced 16 of its most popular games will be available for Samsung Galaxy S 4 by April.

The smartphone is expected to arrive on the market in late April / early May, but EA plans to launch these games by the time Galaxy S 4 goes on sale.

These games will be available for download from Samsung’s own app store for prices under $10/€7.5.

More importantly, all 16 games will feature support for Samsung’s Game Pad accessory, which allows users to play on the Galaxy S 4 like they’re playing on a gaming console.

Aside from that it allows you to pop in the Galaxy S 4 inside the Game Pad, Samsung made it possible for users to insert the phone into a dock which is connected to an LCD TV via HDMI.

That will allow you to play games on Samsung Galaxy S 4 on bigger screens, while using the Game Pad that strongly resembles Xbox’s controller.

For the time being, there are only 8 games especially created for Samsung Galaxy S 4 and its Game Pad, but the South Korean company plans to have no less than 80 compatible titles, which will be available for download via Samsung Apps.

AndroidHeadlines reports EA Mobile confirmed that it would bring 16 titles of its own, including Tetris Blitz, Real Racing 3, Simpsons: Tapped Out, The Sims, Plants vs. Zombies, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Monopoly, and Bejeweled Blitz. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

“We’re delighted to be partnered with Samsung to bring some of our fans’ favorite mobile gaming titles to the Samsung Galaxy S4 in time for launch. The device’s higher resolution, larger screen and increased processing power will give our games an opportunity to look even more beautiful for Samsung consumers,” said EA vice president of new platforms Glenn Roland.
