Niko drives a few blocks, stops by the docks and talks on the phone. Fin!

GTA fans worldwide were surely keen on finding out more on the much anticipated GTA IV from Rockstar. As it turns out, Take-Two's presentation of the game at E3 was rather short and didn't bring many new details on the game. You'd think that for a game of such magnitude they'd have something awesome prepared...

Apparently, no one present at the demonstration was allowed to take any pictures of the footage and Take-Two "even had night vision googles to prevent it," as Kotaku.com reports. According to them, the footage showed Niko Belic, the game's main guy, standing "in Liberty City's equivalent of Times Square. He trots over to a black sedan. He gets in. He drives a few blocks and gets out at the docks. He looks at the water. He gets out his cell phone and calls for guns. The end."

I have to say, I was expecting a few gunshots, or at least a fist fight or something, I don't know... The part that driving will be much smoother and more emphasized now - we knew. The part with the cell-phone - we knew. The part with Liberty City being the equivalent of..., well, you know - we knew. So, with what exactly did Take-Two intend to blow everyone's minds?

Visuals perhaps. The reporting site says that despite that "the voice track hadn't yet been dropped in," overall, the footage looked nice. I don't get it though. Is this not GTA IV we're talking about here? I mean, isn't it the equivalent of Bungie's highly anticipated FPS, Halo 3, or Irrational's BioShock?

OK, maybe I'm overreacting here, but I just hoped that along with the E3 we'd know some more about the game. Maybe they shouldn't have answered all the questions so early. Anyway, this doesn't mean that the game won't be huge when it's released. Keep in mind, Rockstar is making exclusive content just for 360 gamers.
