Realtime Worlds, the developer of All Points Bulletin, has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Electronic Arts to deliver its MMO in the early part of 2010 to the PC. The game has been in development for quite some time and it aims to create a living, breathing world focusing on the continual struggle between criminals and law enforcement.

David Jones, who is the founder and the creative director of Realtime Worlds, stated that “After a few years of quietly working on APB I’m extremely excited to be able to show it publically for the first time. To also be able to announce our marketing and distribution agreement with EA Partners at the same time is the cream on top. It’s very evident that EA Partners are clearly in-sync with our vision for APB and between us we aim to ensure gamers understand why it’s unique, and share our excitement.”

We already know that All Points Bulletin will offer a wide array of customization so that players can create an avatar that represents them perfectly from a visual stand point. The universe has, as can be seen in the screenshots released, a feel that mimics that of Crackdown and Grand Theft Auto, on which David Jones has worked.

The MMO will also focus on the players themselves, making sure that a clear rivalry develops between the criminals, who are interested in taking advantage of the in-game city, and the enforcers, who have to take care of the criminals and reinstate order.

All Points Bulletin has been in development ever since Crackdown was initially released in 2007 and this must translate into some pretty high quality finishing. It's good to finally have a release time frame for the MMO and we hope that more details will soon be available.
