The biggest news coming out of the E3 Nintendo press conference and from the entire trade show has been the reveal of the new Wii U home console, the hardware that Nintendo is currently developing and is set to allow more gaming experiences with its new, touch screen enabled controller.

At the actual press conference the Nintendo executives refused to offer a potential price point for the Wii U or talk about when it might be launched but a retailer has filled in those blanks, even if the information it is offering is unconfirmed.

Zavii, a retailer based in the United Kingdom that has a history of leaking launch dates for products, has posted a pre order page for the Nintendo Wii U saying that it will be launched on July 20, 2012.

The retailer also added a price tag, one of just under 400 British Pounds, which is the equivalent of more than 650 dollars, which seems unrealistically high.

Those who were fascinated by the Wii U launched can probably safely ignore the price tag, with Nintendo probably aiming to deliver a console that costs as much as the Wii did on launch, but the launch date offered by Zavvi seems to be in the realm of the possible.

Comments from inside Nintendo suggest that the company is aiming to make the Wii U all about the individual player and his gaming interests, which means that it needs to be competitively priced from launch day in order to quickly get a large customer base that can make it attractive for developers and publishers.

The Wii U seems to be an impressive device so far but with lagging sale of the original home console Nintendo needs to move as fast as possible in developing the U and getting it to market.

Here is a look at all the information we have about the Wii U until now directly from Nintendo.
