Nintendo's E3 2011 press conference brought forth a massive amount of information about all of its platforms, from the DS or 3DS to the current Wii or upcoming Wii U, as well as in regards to the many games that will be released for all of them.

We already presented the Wii U and its impressive controller, as well as the games that will be making their way to the existing Wii home console or 3DS portable one.

Now, Nintendo has also detailed some of the important games that are coming to its DS handheld, including a brand new Kirby game, called Kirby Mass Attack, a new Professor Layton title, Professor Layton and the Last Specter, as well as Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 or Super Fossil Fighters.

First up, we have Kirby Mass Attack, a brand new Kirby game, the third one announced at this E3, which now sees the popular character be split into 10 pieces with players controlling smaller Kirby versions around the game's world in order to collect all the pieces and make him whole.

"One day, an evildoer with a magic cane appears and splits Kirby into 10 pieces," Nintendo said about the new game. "Kirby sets off on a journey to return to his original form. Players use the touch screen to control a mass of Kirby characters in a new and novel way. Swipe the touch screen to launch them in a mass attack against enemies, then tap the enemies into submission."

You can check out five screenshots and a trailer of Kirby Mass Attack below, while the full game arrives on September 19, this year.

Next up, we have Professor Layton and the Last Specter, a brand new installment in the popular Nintendo DS puzzle series, this time seeing the good professor go on some rather paranormal adventures, as he tries to solve the problem of a small city which is plagued by a specter.

As you can imagine, in order to find out the truth about these happenings, the Professor needs to solve a variety of puzzles, alongside the players that wield the Nintendo DS handheld.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 is a spinoff to Square Enix's massively popular Dragon Quest series, with players needing to become the most successful Monster Scouts out there, by collecting various monsters, of which there are over 300 different kinds, and then using them against enemies through the game's campaign.

Special bonuses will be received when players connect with other Dragon Quest games like Realms of Revelation or Sentinels of the Starry Skies. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 is set to appear on August 28 this year, but you can enjoy a few screenshots and a trailer before then.

Super Fossil Fighters is the last big Nintendo DS game announced at E3 2011, being the sequel to the first Fossil Fighters and introduces some big changes over the original, including the addition of special Gold fossils that help the player's Vivosaurs evolve into more powerful versions.

"In this dino-tastic sequel, players get some hands-on time to hunt and clean fossils, and revive and battle Vivosaurs. A fossil park is hosting a large-scale tournament in which competitors enter Vivosaurs created from dinosaur fossils into competition. Fossil Fighters from all over the world compete against one another to find out who is the best Fossil Fighter."
