Gamers will be able to invade the world of others

Video game developer Techland is ready to reveal another aspect of Dying Light, the upcoming action-focused undead combat title, and is using a video and a gallery in order to show off the core mechanics of the Night Hunter mode.

The feature allows players to actively become one of the most powerful creatures in the game and invade the world of others at night, using a range of powerful abilities in order to hunt them down and then kill them.

All the progression for the Night Hunter will be new, and the set of skills and powers he will use will be entirely different from that of human survivors.

Tymon Smektala, a producer working on the title, states, “The game is absolutely huge as it is, but to provide the ultimate zombie survival experience, we added an extra element of unpredictability to our nighttime gameplay.”

He adds, “Online players can face the threat of a possible invasion of their game by the Night Hunter, an extremely powerful, human-controlled zombie mutation. These invasions are an inherent part of Dying Light, available on all platforms for all online players from day one. However for our hardcore fans who pre-order, we’re offering them a bonus – Be the Zombie – which lets you actually take control of the Night Hunter and invade online games of other players.”

The Be the Zombie mode for Dying Light is only offered to those who are planning to pre-order Dying Light and it’s probable that the DLC will also be offered after the game is launched as a separate purchase.

Zombie action with parkour moves

Dying Light is a fast-paced undead combat title where movement matters as much as solid weapons use, and gamers will have to carefully choose when to engage the zombie enemies and make sure that the environment is put to good use during combat.

Techland says that the title also offers a big world to explore for those who do not have the Be the Zombie mode, with more than 50 hours of gameplay for those who want to finish the single-player story and with cooperative action for up to four gamers on all platforms.

Dying Light is set to be launched on January 27 of 2015 in North America and three days later in Europe and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles.
