Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in new “Faster” poster, out on November 24
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in new “Faster” poster, out on November 24

Dwayne Johnson brings his huge guns on the big screen in the movie that marks his return to the action genre, “Faster.” The new poster for the flick has just been released.

As CinemaBlend points out, the poster says everything there is to say about the film: it’s bound to be action-packed – which will probably also translate into being a box office hit.

The poster shows Dwayne Johnson staring menacingly into the camera, while his bulging muscles are on full display, as also is an old-fashioned revolver he’s holding.

Both the poster and the taglines are throwbacks to old-fashioned action movies, word on the web has it, which makes sense since “Faster” seems to be just one of those films.

“‘Slow justice is no justice’ crows the tagline on the new one-sheet poster for Faster, and while I might be tempted to argue in the name of democracy and whatnot, but the sight of Dwayne Johnson’s gun – along with an actual bullet – will keep me quiet for now,” Cinema Blend writes.

“Basically all you need to know about Faster is in this poster, from the fact that it stars Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton to the totally ridiculous and great tagline,” the e-zine further writes.

If that’s not enough, there’s the second tagline to keep action movie fans on their toes until “Faster” comes out: “This year, the holidays come faster.”

“Faster hits theaters November 24, just in time for you to take your entire extended family to watch The Rock kick [butt] after you’ve lapsed into a turkey coma. It’s the American way,” CB jokes.

The first teaser trailer for “Faster” is also included at the end of the article, though it offers little insight into what the film is about, aside from hinting that it will be all action all the way.

Dwayne Johnson is Driver, an ex-con out to avenge his brother’s death. The two were double-crossed in a heist that also got Driver arrested so, sure, the man has his reasons to seek revenge.

However, his mission will prove a difficult one since he’s also being targeted by a hit man and a cop, played by Billy Bob Thornton.

“Faster” also stars Tom Berenger, Maggie Grace and Jennifer Carpenter and will arrive in US theaters on November 24.
