An interesting twist in the development of Dungeon Defenders II is the feedback received from fans, which changed the way in which creators were thinking of designing the game. It seems that they decided to remove the MOBA- elements and focus on the evolution of this action tower defense game, as fans wanted.

The project was supposed to come this spring and represents Trendy's most outstanding game as it allows fans to directly participate in its development. By paying attention to what fans expect from the game, the developers have managed to improve everything that people love from Dungeon Defenders.

Primarily they are paying a lot more attention to the core gameplay experience so that in October they will be able to kick off their new community that enables fans to share their ideas concerning the ways in which the game can become more satisfying.

In this sequel, gamers will discover that the land of Etheria has been plundered by the Old Ones. Therefore, users must fight alone or with friends to defeat them and save the land.

The new features that will excite gamers are in quite a large number, starting from new defense and ability interactions that make things even more thrilling to the brand new environmental traps. Also, new combat and tower placement elements can be noticed. Their role is to synchronize the action, role playing and tower defense elements from the original game.

Besides these new additions, the team from Trendy wants to reinvent the mission structure as well as the content release to further please the community interested in playing such a game.

The interesting part is that all the synergistic systems that have been implemented give gamers the possibility to discover and share their newly found ways of playing the game with other users. Lead Content Designer Daniel Haddad said ”we want the combat and roleplaying elements to shape how you defend Etheria.”

You can expect the project as a free-to-play title for PC, Mac and Linux next spring and will be available for play for the first time at New York Comic Con, October 10-23.
