A family has managed to achieve the unbelievable: eat leftovers coming from local dumpsters and stay healthy at the same time.

This is the way an eco-conscious family plans to fight consumerism and the enormous amount of waste generated around this time of the year, when winter holidays encourage American clients to buy more than they actually need, Treehugger informs.

On a daily basis, these people get 75% of their food from dumpsters. The 84th episode of the Perennial plate proves the family plan is still working and that they think they hold the key to sustainable eating habits.

I don't know how healthy or “adventurous” going through the trash to find delicious leftovers really is. The only thing certain is that the family has managed to find some edible bread and bananas to prepare a nice breakfast.
