14 DAY TRIAL // Fans of the hit comedy “Dumb and Dumber” must not lose all hope of seeing a sequel to it – or, at least, not yet. After Warner Bros. announced it dropped the project last week, it has now found a new home over at Columbia Pictures.
Vibe reports that the once-tentatively-titled “Dumb and Dumber 2” is now being developed by Columbia but, as of now, these are all the details available.
However, logic would dictate that its two main stars returned for another go.
“‘Dumb and Dumber 2’ would most likely feature a return from stars Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, who play idiotic friends Lloyd and Harry as they travel cross-country to Aspen, CO,” the publication writes.
“The movie was a surprise hit, grossing $127 million [€95.9 million] in the US and helping launch Jim Carrey's career as a movie star,” says the same.
