The bride wore pale pink. The groom, 25 years her junior, was dashing. Billionaire Duchess of Alba wed Alfonso Diez in Sevilla in a lavish ceremony that drew well-wishers to the streets, in a bid to get a chance to extend their congratulations to the happy couple.

Alba, officially the aristocrat in possession of the longest title in the world, fell in love with Diez after bumping into him outside a cinema in Madrid.

They started dating and, indifferent to controversy and what her own family was saying about them, they stood the test of time.

A while ago, word got out that they were determined to get married, so Alba (85) divided her fortune between her children so that they could no longer say that Diez (60) was only after her money.

They became legally wed at Alba’s 15th century castle, Palacio de las Duena, Herald Sun informs.

“The famously flamboyant Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart wore a delicate pale pink gown designed by Victorio y Lucchino for her third marriage, which took place in front of 38 guests,” the publication informs.

“Well-wishers donned fancy dress and wigs in an attempt to copy her quirky style as they celebrated in the city’s streets,” adds the same media outlet.

After they were pronounced husband and wife, the Duchess led the celebration into the street, where she danced flamenco with her husband in front of the crowd, to music by Siempre Asi.

“A crowd of several hundred clapped and roared its approval as the Duchess waved and danced on a red carpet following her wedding to Diez at Palacio de las Duenas, her opulent 15th-century residence in the cobble-stoned old quarter of Seville,” the Herald Sun says.

No word yet whether any of the Duchess’ children were in attendance.

Fun fact: the Duchess’ full name is María del Rosario Cayetana Paloma Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Fernanda Teresa Francisca de Paula Lourdes Antonia Josefa Fausta Rita Castor Dorotea Santa Esperanza Fitz-James Stuart, Silva, Falcó y Gurtubay.

From here on, she will be called: María del Rosario Cayetana Paloma Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Fernanda Teresa Francisca de Paula Lourdes Antonia Josefa Fausta Rita Castor Dorotea Santa Esperanza Fitz-James Stuart, Silva, Falcó y Gurtubay Diez.
