Acer n50 and Acer n50 Premium

The latest fashion in portable devices is the dual-wireless PDAs which include both the Wireless LAN 802.11b standard and the Bluetooth 1.2, together with the other functionalities of the PDA.

Acer joins the competition with two models: Acer n50 and the Premium version of it, whose dimensions are 120x70x40 cm and a weight of only 150 grams.

Acer n50 Premium uses 520 MHz processor, whereas Acer n50 has only 320 MHz.

The memory features are also different: 128 MB for the Premium version and only 64 MB for the Acer n50. The memory of both models can be extended with Compact Flash or SD cards.

Actually, these are the only differences between the two models, the other characteristics being the same: 8 hour battery life, 3.5 inch LCD with a resolution of 240x320 pixels and 65,000 colors.

The operating system is Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, with Outlook 2002 and new features for the security of the Wi-Fi connections.

Acer also proposes different accessories among which a leather case and a Bluetooth mini-keyboard.

The Acer models costs 299 euros, and the Premium version is with 100$ more expensive.
