iBall is a major player in the Indian smartphone business. The company launched new products almost every week and some of them proved to be very popular among Android fans.

Most of iBall's smartphones are aimed at customers looking for affordable devices, but since the majority of Indian handset makers have similar portfolios, the company needs to come up with new ways to differentiate their smartphones from the competition's.

The new iBall Andi 5F Infinito has just been introduced in India and is likely to go on sale in the coming days for just Rs 7,999 ($128 / €118) outright.

The Andi 5F Infinito is an affordable Android smartphone, and the only thing that could make it stand out is the huge battery that iBall has decided to include inside.

According to AndroidOS, the smartphone will only be available in black, and it will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, which is a bit of a letdown.

It's powered by Android 4.4 KitKat, but iBall promises Lollipop

On the inside, iBall Andi 5F Infinito is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, probably provided by MediaTek, as well as 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The smartphone sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. It also packs an 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 3.2-megapixel camera in the front.

But the phone's major selling point is the 4,000 mAh battery, along with the fact that iBall promised that Andi 5F Infinito will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop at some point.

“At iBall we have always catered to the needs of our consumers and iBall Andi 5F Infinito is one such offering. Users have become heavy users of smartphone and need for big battery is imminent.

“iBall Infinito with big 4000mAh battery yet packed in very appealingly designed phone is bound to make every user thrilled with the experience,” said Sandeep Parasrampuria, director, iBall.
