Indian OEM iBall has just released yet another budget-friendly Android smartphone, the Andi 4.5D Royale. The smartphone is available via major retailers across the country for only Rs 8,499 ($140 / €100) outright.

According to fonearena, the Andi 4.5D Royale is only available in white and we can safely assume iBall won’t introduce additional color options in the future.

For those well-acquainted with iBall’s lineup of mid-range smartphones, the Andi 4.5D Royale seems to the spiritual successor of Andi 4.5z, but with a higher amount of RAM.

Just like most of low- to mid-range smartphones launched in India, the Andi 4.5D Royale ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, so there’s no surprise here.

The smartphone is unlikely to receive any software updates in the future, so don’t expect an upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat to arrive on the Andi 4.5D Royale.

However, the device does offer dual-SIM capability with dual standby support (GSM / GSM). Even though the phone’s processor may seem too low for the price iBall is asking, the rest of the Andi 4.5D Royale specs sheet looks quite decent.

iBall Andi 4.5D Royale is equipped with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor probably provided by MediaTek, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Given the fact that it comes packed with 1GB of RAM, Andi 4.5D Royale will be capable of running most apps and games one would throw at it, but there will definitely be some exceptions that require high-end GPU and CPU.

Back on Andi 4.5D Royale’s specs sheet, iBall confirmed the smartphone sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 245ppi (pixel density).

Another strong point of iBall’s mid-range smartphone would be the 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There’s also a secondary front-facing camera probably of VGA quality, which should be enough for video calls.

When it comes to connectivity, the Andi 4.5D Royale offers the usual range of options, including HSDPA (21Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS with A-GPS support.

iBall Andi 4.5D Royale is powered by a 1,700 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. Other highlights that might tempt you into buying this mid-range smartphone include: FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
