Samsung 2ON is one of the latest mobile phones released by the South Korean producer in India. The handset comes with two SIM slots, allowing you to use it on both GSM and CDMA networks, at the same time, being the first phone with this feature to hit the Indian market.

Presented as a "universal handset", the new Samsung 2ON works with most of the mobile operators across India and it's the first CDMA device that can operate, in the same time, with the Tata Indicom and Reliance Communications Value Added services.

Aside from the dual-SIM technology, Samsung 2ON also offers pretty cool features. For example, the phone comes with a 2.3 inch TFT touchscreen, Music player with support for MP3 and AAC+, 2 Megapixel camera, microSD card support for up to 1GB, Internet modem capabilities (up to 153 kbps data transfer speeds on CDMA networks), File Viewer, Handwriting Recognition and advanced organizer. Moreover, a pack of features especially designed for India is included: Mobile Prayer, Indian Calendar, Panchang and Hinglish support.

Mr. Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Telecommunications India Pvt. Ltd., said about the new Samsung 2ON: "This phone aims to cater to the growing Dual Stand By market, wherein discerning consumers want the convenience of a single feature rich handset with two connections operating simultaneously. The availability of this handset in the open market will provide Indian consumers freedom to select service operator?s of their choice on GSM as well as CDMA networks."

Samsung 2ON is available as of today for a retail price of 16,500 Indian rupees (about $410 or 260 Euro).
