Although Panasonic has announced that it will close its smartphone business soon in order to focus on feature phones, the company is about to launch one more Android handset in India.

Fonearena reports that Panasonic T31 is the fourth smartphone soon to be released in India in the last couple of weeks. Just like most of its handsets aimed at the Indian market, the T31 is an entry-level smartphone, which is why it will go on sale for a more than affordable price.

Customers in India will be able to purchase the Panasonic T31 for only Rs 7,990 outright, which is about $130 or €95. The smartphone is not available on the market yet, but since it appeared on Panasonic’s website, we expect it to be released soon.

Android enthusiasts who are taking into consideration Panasonic’s offer should know that the T31 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, which is more than one could expect from such a cheap smartphone.

Furthermore, Panasonic T31 has been confirmed to offer dual-SIM support (GSM / GSM) and 3G connectivity. Hardware-wise, the device packs pretty decent features, such as a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, probably delivered by MediaTek, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Keep in mind that out of the 4GB storage confirmed by Panasonic, only 1.9GB is available for installing apps and games. Luckily, users will be able to further expand storage up to 2GB via microSD memory card.

The T31 also sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and built-in GPS.

On the back, the smartphone features a 3.2-megapixel main camera that lacks LED flash, but offers video recording capabilities. A secondary VGA front-facing camera is included as well. Other highlights of the budget-friendly handset include 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery.
