Indian OEM Lava Mobiles has just released yet another Android smartphone, which is aimed at the entry-level segment, the Lava 3G 415.

The smartphone is only available via eBay India, but it may go on sale through other authorized retailers as well, though for the moment the information is not confirmed.

Fans of the brand can purchase the 3G 415 model for only Rs 5,249 outright, which is about $90 or €65. The phone’s main strong point seems to be the fact that it comes with a catchy design, but aside from that it doesn’t really offer anything new or impressive in terms of specs or software.

It appears that Lava 3G 415 comes with a faux leather-like back cover that makes the smartphone look rather stylish. It will definitely make it stand out from other smartphones in the same price range, but, as mentioned earlier, this is the only thing that sets it apart.

Lava 3G 415 is the second Android smartphone launched by the Indian company this week, after the Iris X1, which was officially introduced a few days ago.

Unlike the Iris X1 that ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, Lava 3G 415 is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform, which is rather disappointing.

Anyway, potential customers may also want to know that Lava 3G 415 sports a decent 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

As expected, the smartphone offers dual-SIM capability (GSM / GSM) with dual standby support. It also comes with other connectivity options, including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and microUSB.

Lava 3G 415 is equipped with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. These are definitely specs that would put it in the entry-level segment if not for the other features it offers.

The good news is users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card. On the back, Lava 3G 415 packs a decent enough 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

Other highlights of the entry-level smartphone include 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and 1500 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Keep in mind that the Lava 3G 415 is only available in black color via eBay. Are you going to pick Lava’s low-end Android smartphone?
