LG G Pro Lite Dual is a brand new smartphone that has just been released in India. Aimed at emerging markets, the device was officially announced not long ago and it is meant to rival other dual-SIM handsets launched in India, such as the Sony Xperia C and Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS.

AndroidOS reports that LG G Pro Lite Dual is available for purchase for Rs 18,300 ($295/€215) outright via major retailers across India, including Snapdeal. Customers can choose from either black or white color versions.

As the name suggests, the smartphone offers dual-SIM support. It ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, along with some proprietary apps and services such as QTranslator, KnockON, as well as Pause and Resume recording.

The LG Pro Lite Dual is a mid-range Android smartphone, so potential customers should not expect any impressive features. Thus, LG has confirmed that the device is equipped with a dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor clocked at 1GHz, a PowerVR SGX531 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

It features the same bar form factor as the LG G2, but at a slightly larger scale, given the fact that it boasts a huge 5.5-inch IPS qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution. Keep in mind that the G Pro Lite Dual comes with stylus as well.

The device has only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Connectivity-wise, LG G Pro Lite Dual offers HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps), as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.

Last but not least, the dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a high-capacity 3140 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 845 hours of standby time or up to 14.5 hours of talk time.
