Asian mobile phone developers are known to be highly creative and to introduce very interesting concept phones such as the dual LCD phone presented by the Korean inventor Saeok Hong Jeong not so long ago.

Mitsubishi's concept phone also features two LCD screens, but in a rather different arrangement, which makes us think that there is a possibility that more phones in the future will be featuring two or maybe even more displays. The Japanese mobile manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric showcased their concept phone at Hong Kong International Telecommunication Union World.

The white clamshell mobile phone features two LCD displays of the same size. The twin touchscreens replace the standard keypad one would find in most mobile phones, with the lower touchscreen being used for controlling the phone in most cases.

Described as the "double screen universal design phone" the Mitsubishi concept phone is designed to be as user friendly as possible, featuring a minimum number of buttons that deliver a subtle click sensation when pressed, therefore ensuring the correct function of the device even when wrong buttons are pressed.

Status Illumination on the front panel also informs the user that an e-mail or message has been received or that there is an incoming call.

There is no information regarding either release date or price of this concept phone at the moment, but it is pretty safe to say that the concept phone will be available in Asia only.
