14 DAY TRIAL // Proving that the saying “it can happen to anyone” is 100 percent true, Johnny Depp took a rather embarrassing tumble on Hollywood Boulevard – and it was all caught on tape.
HollywoodTV got a hold of some footage shot by paparazzi outside a Hollywood restaurant very popular with celebrities, which you can also see below, embedded at the end of this article.
It shows Depp coming out of the restaurant to meet the screaming crowd, which also includes a few fans asking for autographs.
At one moment, one of his bodyguards tries to place himself as a shield between the fans / paparazzi and Depp, pushing him backwards towards the car.
Instead of walking, though, he trips and falls to the ground, right over Johnny, to which the paps start screaming “Whoa, you dropped Johnny, you dropped Johnny,” as if he were a piece of china that was just about to be broken.
“Even the best of us fall down. Johnny Depp found that out the hard way tonight while making his way through a crowd on Hollywood Blvd.,” Hollywood TV writes.
“While Jack Sparrow may have no trouble leaping from ship to ship on the open seas... walking to one’s car is another matter entirely! Johnny tripped outside the popular hotspot, 25 Degrees, on Saturday night, but seemed to laugh it off soon after,” it is further said.
Indeed, once inside his car, Johnny did make light of the situation, even though he continued to keep his hat well over his face to hide it from the cameras.
Because of the fall (at 0.12 in the video), the way he lets himself be carried around as if he were a rag doll, and the stumble he takes at 0.24, many voices online are saying that he was most definitely drunk.
Nevertheless, if he was, kudos to him for still being gracious to fans and sign autographs even though he hardly appears able to stand on his own two feet.
