A limo caught fire on the San Mateo bridge in the San Francisco Bay area on Saturday, killing five people inside.

Five women, out of a total of ten who were in the back, were fatally injured when the stretch limo burst into flames, Metro wrote.

Four other people have been injured, and the only one who survived the incident unscathed was the limo driver.

According to KGO-TV, the celebration followed one of the passengers' wedding party, and the bride was killed when the car was engulfed by flames.

"When he get out from that car, he just opened the door, that's all he did. [...] I even ask the driver, 'Open the door, open the door.' He didn't do anything," survivor Nelia Arellano says.

She and her friends smelled smoke in the back, at which point they alerted the driver. Arellano recalled the car catching on fire in some 90 seconds after that, and he hadn't pulled over yet.
