Starting today, owners of Windows Phone devices out there can download and install the Dragons Adventure: World Explorer gaming app inspired by the new DreamWorks Animation film, “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”

The software has been made available for free, and comes with a series of optimizations for Nokia Lumia smartphones out there, a recent post on Nokia Conversations reads.

What users will enjoy as part of this application is a combination of virtual world of Isle of Berk with the real one, thus taking immersive gaming to a whole new level.

For example, a “Train” car-playing mode can be activated when getting in the car, and it will show the user and the dragon soar over traffic intersections, restaurants, shops, and more. Of course, the app is not safe to use when driving, so you should let someone else behind the wheel.

At the same time, the game will reflect the weather outside the car, displaying raindrops on the screen when it’s raining outside, or a glowing sunset at twilight. One other useful feature of the game is the fact that it will end when the car reaches destination.

When at home, users will be able to play Dragons Adventure: World Explorer on their Windows Phone-based smartphones in Explore mode.

Through it, they will enjoy controlling the flight of their dragon through 16 real cities around the world, including London, Berlin, Nairobi, Shanghai and Washington, D.C.

Overall, there are 38 quests different quests to enjoy as part of the game, as well as six dragons, each with its own set of powers that can be upgraded.

“You can also play with your favorite heroes and train the dragons. Even Hiccup can be unlocked with a simple registration,” the aforementioned blog post explains.

Moreover, Nokia Conversations explains that each of the dragons included in the game comes with its own set of capabilities, and that users should make sure they pick the one that suits their quest the best.

“For example, Toothless is much faster than Meatlug, but the little Gronkle is agile and can make quicker turns. Following registration, you will have more characters to choose from,” the blog post notes.

There is also a speed-boost to enjoy, which can be enhanced by leveling up the speed of the dragon. Moreover, users will be able to shoot more fireballs at enemy towers when increasing their attack skills.

Dragons Adventure: World Explorer is already available for download through the Windows Phone Store. The mobile game offers support for all Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices.
