Video game developer BioWare continues its set of reveals linked to Dragon Age: Inquisition giving fans a quick look at the new Halamshiral area, which is one of the most content filled in the game and which will allow gamers to interact with the important nobles of the Orlesian court.

The company has previously talked about the Civil War that is currently affecting the country and the effects it has on the population, but the leadership of the country is not affected in any way as they prepare to negotiate, but not before attending a complex costume party.

Chris Corfe, a designer working on Dragon Age: Inquisition, tells the official site that, “The civil war is now at an impasse. The faction leaders are at a peace talk at the Winter Palace in Halamshiral, a magnificent Orlesian structure built on ancient elven grounds. The Inquisition is here to find and stop an assassin.”

Players will need to carefully choose their companions, equip them appropriately and then carefully navigate the complex web of relationships that are visible in Halamshiral in order to reach their target and make sure that the peace that the two factions are aiming to create has a future.

The Winter Palace is one of the most interesting areas that BioWare has created, drawing on both the legacy of the elves that live here before being attacked by the Orlesians and the unique cultural background of the Empire.

Ryan Love, the senior environment artist, adds that, “I think a lot of Halamshiral's inspiration comes from the world's most ornate and decorated places. Buckingham Palace was also used as inspiration. Middle Eastern styles also influenced the building of this place.”

The most important area in the new location is the ballroom, which is covered in complex decorations, plenty of gold and is designed to give an impression of over the top luxury and complacence.

In order to continue the theme of the Great Game that Orlesian nobles are playing, BioWare says that in Halamshiral, players will have to use both rumors and politics in order to progress, with weapons only used as a last resort.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to arrive on October 7 of this year on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the PC.

BioWare has promised that it will deliver a complex role-playing game experience with improved combat and an open world that can be explored at will.
